MGME, the full-service meetings and events agency, announced this week that Cindy D’Aoust is the new Vice President of Business Strategy. Her addition to the team exemplifies the company’s growth as a global events leader and the team's dedication to the customer experience.

Prior to her position with MGME, D’Aoust was the President and CEO of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), where she oversaw the organization's work across its five operating regions, including North America, Europe, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Australasia and Brazil. She was also the former Chief Operating Officer of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the leading association for event and meeting professionals, with over 60,000 members across 70+ global chapters, providing industry education, professional development, and career resources.

As the Vice President of Business Strategy at MGME, D’Aoust will be responsible for guiding the company’s long-term direction and identifying new, competitive ways to position MGME as a leader in the MICE space. She will also help identify market trends, expansion opportunities, and operational improvements.

"Having Cindy on the team was an obvious choice for us as we look to amplify our impact in the expanding global event market," said Carvie Gilikin, CEO of MGME. "Our top goal will always be our clients and providing an exceptional customer experience. We are confident that Cindy's appointment as our new vice president of business strategy will help to improve our present operations and bring additional value to our clients and ultimately, their attendees.”

MGME continues to be a leader in the global event space, planning and executing large conferences and meetings for several corporations. Since its acquisition by InteleTravel in 2024, MGME offers group and individual travel, business travel solutions, and exclusive experiences such as concerts, sporting events, and more.

“My career has given me a wealth of knowledge and experiences in meetings, events, travel, and corporate experiences. Joining MGME felt like an obvious next step for me,” said D’Aoust. “As their vice president of business strategy, I look forward to finding new ways to grow the company and improve their already successful practices, and increasing their impact, not just with clients, but across the whole industry.”

In 2026, MGME is set to scale its global footprint by securing new clients, strengthening corporate partnerships, and expanding its capabilities across industries and event sizes. With D’Aoust joining the leadership team, the company is positioned to introduce more sophisticated strategies and innovative technologies that will directly enhance client outcomes and redefine the event experience.
